A strange and wonderful thing has happened to me over the last year. I’m not talking about the usual kind of enlightenment, I’m talking about how a consulting session turned into a sort of reverse-business-psychoanalysis.

It happened while working with Felicia Slattery on her upcoming book and speech “Cinderella Interrupted.” Please comment below and tell me what you think about this title? It’s a book about what happens to women who make all the right choices and end up unhappy or dissatisfied with the destination all those right choices brought them.
She began to ask me questions about the Wisdom Thesis, the loose little system I’d identified from reverse-engineering how I helped people come up with titles for their book, product, or project, and as the quantum mechanics folks like to say, “the act of observation changed the object of observation.”
The chemical synthesis of Felicia, a big league academic with props in business communication and a national champion competitive speaker, peering into and parsing my success as a professional speaker was dynamic and kicked off several months of unpacking and clarifying. I learned things about what I’d done instinctively or by trial and error, and then I extrapolated these A-HA’s even deeper, from my own unique perspective as the driver of this stagecoach.
My good friend and author Ken Larson calls this experience LifeWalking, an intentional relationship, for processing life and a move-forward solution.” Only in hindsight did I see that we were LifeWalking the creation of a comprehensive system for developing a profitable speaking business.

As soon as you began explaining your methods for arriving at a speech, title, and even accompanying “buzzy” book, I recognized the brilliance right away. There is nothing like this being taught anywhere.
I for one believe the speaking world is lucky to have you showing speakers how to craft a speech that will not only make audiences happy, but will also add to the financial success of the individual speaker while at the same time contributing the speaking industry as a whole by helping produce amazing speakers to send forth and entertain, educate, and empower!
