Rick Butts Electrocted By Internet Gets Bizarre Powers
By Rick on May 28, 2008 in Internet Marketing, LMAO!, Videos, World According to Rick

This shocking video was recorded live in Las Vegas at the Internet Marketing Superconference.
Witnessed by Jack Humphrey, Colin McDougall, Len Thurmond, Carl Galletti, William Shatner, and Leonard Nimoy.
Since many of you are finding out about me from the white hot discussion about unsubscribing from email lists – I thought I’d include something to tear me a new one over – and to have some laughs.
Since I’d had the entire Internet uploaded to my body – I let everyone in the audience try to stump me with any question…
The entire video – which is filled with hilarious (and insightful) answers to their questions – will be uploaded soon. It’s about a 40 minute phreak and phun show.
Here’s the actual story of my unfortunate accident from the USA today – I’ve been tested many times by scientests, the CIA, the X-Files Dana Scully (by far the most enjoyable) and questioned extensively by Oliver Stone.

HIS NAME IS…..?
There is a place in the movie Fight Club where one of the characters dies unexpectedly during “Project Mayhem” and the whole group begins to recite his name.
Can you remember his name?
By the way – everything here, from the concept for the video – the graphics – the copy – the post headline – every bit of it is a lesson in creative thinking for marketing an idea.
My goal with this post is to begin to get you to maybe get away from the shiite and worn out phrases in your “swipe files” and start synthisizing the principles in those ideas – into one’s that resonate with your audience.
I know my readers are bright, clever, and informed – so this is my offering to you…
“Submitted for your approval” Rod Serling.
(PS: I totally LOVE your comments dear friends – so let me know what you think of this video and way of sharing marketing copy writing ideas – and you’ll get a link to your site! Rick

Hey Rick,
Nice to finally meet you. Sorry about your accident . . .
All the information was uploaded to your brain? Any insight on Jimmy Hoffa? Too easy, how about Web 3.0? Any idea when people will start selling info products teaching how to take advantage of it? LOL

Hey Fred Hopkins -
That’s funny – but I do actually happen to know that Jimmy Hoffa is in a can – outside of Kansas City.
I know it’s vague but even the Internet doesn’t have GPS coordinates on him!
Steve Markowski – that is HILARIOUS!

Hi Rick,
Great presentation. That’s certainly a way to get a ‘buzz’ out of life…don’t think I’ll try it.
Loved the clever opt-in for the dog training site…. people are crazy about their animals, so would definitely have a positive effect by grabbing their attention.

Hot Dawg! I can now say that my husband, James, and I are on a YouTube video. We were at the Internet Marketing Superconference in Vegas and that is where we “met” you and knew that you were someone we wanted to know more about. James and I have our backs to the camera throughout your presentation, he in the teal with white palm trees shirt and me in the purple jacket.
Was on your Ustream.TV show (missylol) this afternoon. Another great one. You are definitely a wild and crazy guy with a lot of important things to say. Keep up the good work!

Rick,
How many licks DOES it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?
Answer that and I will believe you!

What I find funny – In the video Rick says getting an email address is the most important thing to do. And his autoresponder is not set up for getting the rest of the video!
I know Rick – you’ll fix it.
