What in the world is this thing in my ear, and why is it on fire?
I was having a blockedge in my ear, which later turned out to be a eustacian tube thing, so my daughter was trying to stop me from complaining so much, and recommended this weird homeopathic solution that she said would remove any stubborn ear wax and set me free!
There’s a name for it I know but I can’t remember what it is.
Anyway – I had her take this picture of it burning while in my ear and the photo turned out quirky enough that I thought I’d try and use it in my blog header.
As you know, this isn’t a typical blog anyway – so maybe the header graphic could help signal future readers to be prepared for anything.
What do you think? Do you know what this thing is called?

I was right with my Tweet – it’s called ear candling. But if it’s truly a “eustachian tube thing” candling isn’t going to reach past your ear drum.

My mother-in-law and other assorted in-laws were all doing that last year and trying to talk me into having my 13yr old son do it, too! He would never, ever, ever have let anyone near him with that thing! Duh!
