Twitter Squeeze On Google

What's in a name? Apparently a lot judging from Twitter Squeeze.

Yesterday, Monday July 21, I came up with the name Twitter Squeeze to describe the strategy I'd taught a client and a few friends for figuring out a way to get a ton of followers (all in absolutely ethical and social networkey ways) and leverage these growing relationships to be able to drive traffic to multiple money sites.

Twitter Squeeze Shows Up In Google

Now, barely 24 hours later, I've coined a term that not only comes up in Google but has some interesting results.

Check the Google results for the search phrase twitter squeeze (without quotes).

When I did my first search for Blog and Ping in 2004 there was nothing that matched, only some results for the word ping. So I went to my domain reg and bought BlogandPing.com which was the genesis of my online career as I posted my now famous (infamous) video tutorial there.

I can tell you firsthand that creating your own vocabulary can be very powerful - if you catch the wave very early and nurse it along until it's out of the crib and running hot. Certainly Twitter itself has spawned a whole host of new and re-purposed words - most of which sound horrible out loud - enhancing the fun and viral whoomp of 'em.

Twitter Squeeze Update and Pricing

I've taken a break from making the camtasia videos on the T.S (no not traffic secrets - you silly monkey!) tonight - and hope to have it all out to you Wednesday sometime.

The product will sell for $20 through paypal, and will be an instant "groove-thing." A clue was how just one little bit of information in the Twitter Squeeze Live Ustream Video I did last night - has already had people making changes to their profiles on Twitter.

The name squeeze page at http://TwitterSqueeze.com has gotten a shocking 67% optin conversion rate (the power of trust clearly at work - as most of my traffic has come by straight referral, my own Tweets, and my RSS feeds and email list.)

Affiliate Program?

There won't be any projectile product launches, no Ferraris or Rolexes given away (sigh) just a straight 50% commission paid out in a closed affiliate program. This means that only customers who purchase the product first will be able to get an affiliate link. Fair enough?

What's in the Product?

1. Inside the protected content area will be the entire strategy, done with videos of me at my whiteboard showing you the key strategies employed, and camtasia videos showing case studies, tips, tweaks and ideas on how to rapidly implement it - regardless of where you are in your Twitter or blogging career.

2. I'm hosting a live teleseminar where I'll open mic all your questions and really dig into the vicissitudes and nuances of the marketing mindset and how it integrates with all social media. This, I guarantee, will be a priceless education you'll be able to apply to many of your current marketing challenges.

3. As you know I am collecting your Twitter questions, all of which I intend to have answered by a bona-fide Twitter Expert, whom I'll be announcing and interviewing so that you will end up with a super duper whip-ass Twitter-education of advanced strategies!

Who Should Get Twitter Squeeze?

This strategy will work incredibly well for:

Authors
Writers
Trainers
Speakers
Coaches
Consultants
Experts
Marketers
Personalities

or, in short, anyone who would benefit from building a strong social networking following of people who trust and like you. Yes, even you over there in the 3rd row in the Ozzfest T-shirt!

This is NOT a Twitter Spam or Automated Software Driven Ploy

Though I will share some automation tips in the TS (not to be confused with Traffic Secrets 2.0) this is in no way a spammer or reckless automation gig.

Twitter Squeeze is a strategy for leveraging the huge power of Twitter, Facebook, Pownce, and Friendfeed (and all your other Social Networking sites) to grow your business and profits!

Okay - I've got to get back to finishing up the training tutorials. By the way I've made sure to include as much humor, fun, and marketing brainiac ideas as possible - helping you to laugh, learn and generally be a happier person to be around!

I may run a contest to give away some copies of the course - tell me if you think that would be cool?

*stomps feet* No Rolexes (Rolexii?) or Ferraris? Stop this stinkin' car, I want OUT! I was promised Rolexii and Ferrari if I would just take this whole IM plunge and you mean to tell me there's no vroom vroom ka boom? Nonsense!

Let Al Gore demand a recount; I DEMAND FERRARI.

OK, I will stop bustin' your chops. I like that you're getting back your content creation sea legs - keep up the good work. I'd peek at TS a bit closer, but right now sleep is soooo calling my name. No keyword research or niche audience testing on that one, I know a pillow's value when I see one!

Oh, and how could I end a comment on your blog without more silliness: FIRST POST!!!!!!!

Work hard, play hard, love easily Rick!

Hey Rick,

Can't wait to see what you've come up with! (I'm sure it's going to be an intelligent approach to making the most of these tools.)

You're so right about the branding case study. I just taught a Branding Masterclass last week and covered the very topic of how to dominate Google without spending anything on SEO just by using language carefully and building a brand. (Happy to share the presentation slides (at no cost) with your audience if they want them. They are posted here:

The audio for the Branding Masterclass will be posted shortly. And I'll be using Twitter to let folks know when it's available.)

Hey hey Rick!

Gotta say man.. your Ustream show the other night was absolutely hilarious… good thing we all went to the bathroom before watching it!

Go for a contest, it'll make things even more fun, create more excitement, and get people to actually understand and use the twitter squeeze. :)

Be well.

Sincerely,

Matthew Detrick

Much more clever (although maybe not at funny) of a logo as the thonged version you mentioned in your Twitter Squeeze video. What I am left wondering is whether it was your butts or some gorgeous babe's butts that was in the thong? It's really a whole different picture depending….as you said, this is what happens when you work alone. LOL!

Wonderful stuff, Rick. I look forward to it. Great idea.

Together, we are stronger.

A contest would ROCK MY SOCKS OFF, seeing how I seem to be a bit tapped out at the moment. ;)

Rick - I'm buying a copy. Anyone who can weave in wacky British accents, Pink Floyd, and dark sunbglasses into a pre-launch video like you did deserves my $20.

What, no prizes for affiliates??? Hmmm, I SO was looking forward to a new iPod!!! LOL I love the Twitter Squeeze concept and name, good job Rick! cheers to ya :-)

Hi Rick

Paypal is cool but I just spent $17.00 to buy a friend a book. (he gave me $20.00 cash money because he didn't have a Paypal account of his own)

The last time that I had my bank transfer funds to Paypal it took like three weeks for Paypal to acknowledge the transfer.

So today I asked my bank to transfer some funds to Paypal and I will have to wait n see just how long it takes. lol

Sooo to buy with Paypal it will depend on if I get the transfer into my Paypal account or not, or if some kind sole contributes to my Paypal account in the meantime the twenty bucks.

I have $20.00 cash money (from my friend) on my desk here in front of me whispering that it wants to go visit Rick Butts.

It just happens to be a Canadian Twenty with s beautiful picture of Queen Elizabeth II on the front and a couple of Haida Indian carvings on the back. Plus enough security features that people actually mistake it for a counterfeit bill. (go figure)

If you could imagine framing this beautiful piece of art for your office in exchange to access to your much sought after Twitter Squeeze secrets perhaps we could talk trade. (butt that would most likely take even longer than three weeks not to mention the hassle to get it into your country in the first place cus Canadian money is terrorist money they say)

Oh well…. I guess I will just have to sit and dream of what might have been. Maybe I could write the story of The Twitterpated Canadian Twenty (cash money) Sell it on the Inter Net (Canadian term) and make a million dollars.

BTW that reminds me of a song that the barenaked Ladies (Canadian girls)once sung but that's story for another time.

Butt if you really wanted to see the barenaked ladies check them out @ http://www.bnlmusic.com/default2.asp

Smiles :o)

Twitter Squeeze? What's that? Animal Cruelty.. or Super Genius Marketing?…

I've been following Rick Butts for some time now folks, mostly because of his superb marketing sense but also for his humor which is off-the-wall hilarious!
He's coined a NEW marketing phrase called Twitter Squeeze, which if you're i…

Hey Rick,
You've got me excited about a product launch, when most just BORE ME! "Coining" the term Twitter Squeeze is nothing short of GENIUS! (but don't let that go to your head or you'll never "squeeze" back into yer hat! lol)
I've got a list just waiting to hear about this, and I won't be shy about sharing it!
