Aweber Amember 1ShoppingCart Paypal and the end of Band Aids

For the last year I've been working on figuring out a way to overcome the obstacles of selling either a membership site - or protecting digital products I sell online.

This has included exhaustive trial and error with Aweber Amember 1ShoppingCart and Paypal, each one with their limitations, resulting in having to either forego some features I wanted - or jumping through customer-irritating (and Rick-Irritating) hoops.

I even Twittered the darn query yesterday and got the same feedback. But, seek and ye shall find and the answer came to me from a source I wasn't expecting - Ross Goldberg!

Ross was on a Ustream.TV video cast I was watching and we started to chat. He recommended a script that would do everything I wanted and a whole lot more.

I immediately bought it and darn if Ross wasn't right!

Meet my new favorite Internet marketing software for making online sales.

This baby not only does everything - it even PAYS MY AFFILIATES INSTANTLY THROUGH PAYPAL THE MOMENT THE SALE IS MADE!

And, unlike Leger's $7 thing - you don't have to give the entire commission away to make a sale - you can pay a percentage and all your affiliates have to do is append their paypal email address to the link and boom it's a done deal.

There are more features than you can shake a stick at and I actually stopped playing with it long enough to put the crazy Peel Away ad on this site to promote it and write this post since I bugged so many people for an answer to this dilemma.

Keep your eyes out as I am going to be releasing a very exciting new product that I"ve been itching to tell you about - just needed to find the simplest way to get it to you and let you promote it to your own customers and let you get paid the minute you make a sale.

Hey Rick,

I told you it was cool! The new version (3.0) is even better than the one I've been using.

It's a killer script with all kinds of amazing features. There is nothing better.

Enjoy!!!

The Best Advice I've Ever Gotten From Ross Goldberg!

LOL - Thanks Ross - you are absolutely right. Thanks for sharing this tip. I'm obviously amped about it so much that I put the freakin' peel-away on my site plus blogged about it.

I should have named this post Ross Goldberg Gives Rick Butts Advice?

Anyway, I just checked our MyBlogLog and you sure have a lot of websites (blogs) and are using them in a very smart way.

I'm starting to see your strategy unfold and it's a good one.

Thanks,
Rick Butts

Rick,

RAP is a very versatile script. Sid made a lot of improvements in version 3.

Good luck.

I am so excited.. Imagine asking this question on Twitter and then finding the answer right away in a chat?

How cool is that?

I purchased this right away… I've been looking for this "all in one system" for a while.

I also felt really safe in taking the plunge, because it has such a great guarantee… plus, Rick Butts recommended it.

You just can't get any better recommendation! :)

It may be cool Ross/Rick , but the web page does not have enough information for me to make a proper decision. So I'm not buying.

1. Does it use a table prefix for the mysql tables (so it won't stomp on other tables in a shared database)
2. Does it have email throttling so ISP's won't blow your email shots to dust.

I've already ditched 1shoppingcart and replaced everything except my autoresponder with localised software.

The final kicker is the price - the web page does not justify the price.

Come on guys…

Rick - I have a few tricks up my sleeve Rick. While my way of doing things may not be for everyone, I do know my stuff. We all learn from each other. I know for a fact that you and I have both learned a few things since our paths first crossed.

Hugh - Yes, Rick and I are friends now.

Spencer - These questions would be well suited for Sid himself.

If you don't see the justification for the price, then it probably isn't for you.

For me, the idea of not having to pay my affiliates and take that time out of my day is worth a lot more than the cost of the product.

Also, I hate waiting for commissions. If everyone used RAP, I wouldn't have to…

@Debra - AWESOME! I was thrilled to get the answer through the Grapevine like this - all hail social networking.

@Spencer - This is a darn heavyweight marketing script - and Ross is right - of all the cool features, the hook of me telling my affiliates - look, promote this and get paid the minute a sale is made - works!

Some affiliate stuff I use doesn't even tell me I make a sale - when I started seeing those paypal payments coming in - I got into reposting - retweeting and seeing those conversions motivated me to market a product stronger.

Getting affiliates to take multiple actions is always gooder.

Rick Butts does it again!!! He reads my mind a week ahead of when I'm going to be thinking the thought and provides an answer before I've asked the question. You're awesome!

Hey Rick…had to ask a question but first I gotta tell ya, I need to get to that post with the Mexican fisherman…I was trying to think of something to say and each time I was ready to write I'd start cracking up :))

Anyway, I've been running around in circles like you for a while, been looking at RAP, everyone that uses it seems to like it.

My question involves MF's butterfly maketing script. I really don't know anything about it and avoided it like the plague when it came out, only because I couldn't stand the swarms of email at promotion time….kinda like the stompernet thing. But…..I know a lot of people sing high praise for it. I wondered if you or anyone else knew anything about it, or how it compares to RAP? …..I just read the salespage again and Sid mentions it, I thought the butteryfly script went down in price?

Also, wondered what your (or anyone elses) thoughts about Sam Stephens script…Download Guard would be. I think its a great script, everyone seems to love it. However, DLG has a problem with Aweber…it's Awebers fault since they refuse to work with DLG…but GetResponse will work with DLG…for me that would mean another autorepsonder and just more hassles.

I guess I just want to set something up once and not find out 3 months from now that screwed up!

Anyway, good food for though. BTW, glad to see things taking off for you…Jack & Sam really know their stuff :)

Latter,

Scott

Nice post Rick…I'll admit, this is something I've heard much about and would love to purchase. Having something that can control your entire online commerce is great!

I look forward to seeing all that you do with this.
