Effective People Blown Off Course By Illusion

The most effective people in the world move toward their goals in the most consistent way.

This doesn't mean they move in a straight line. No one does. They just move toward a clear goal and get back on track sooner when they are blown off course.

Life throws obstacles, challenges, and change at us on nearly a daily basis. But, as Zig Ziglar said, "if you wait until all the lights are green before you leave the house - you'll never get to town!"

This was brought home to me tonight when I was chatting with Brandon Hall of SEO Feed about the survey I just opened up about Internet marketing training. The survey is shaping up to be a big disappointment, frankly, because of the general disappointment, disillusionment, and frustration of most Internet marketers.

Despite the obvious over-hyped guru launches and ridiculous million dollar claims, these flashy sales types suck nearly all of the money out of the Internet marketing training arena - and have become, sadly, the standard by which other lesser known marketers are judged.

It reminds me of the Pink Floyd song "Have a Cigar" about the way record company suits fell all over themselves after the ripping success of Dark Side of the Moon.

"The band is just fantastic, that is really what I think. Oh, by the way, which one's Pink?"

Wanna know my best guess on why so many people AREN'T making money online?

"85% of the Internet marketing training is by people who only know how to sell Internet marketing make money products to OTHER Internet marketers - and they really have no idea how to make money in a real live non-IM niche."

Yet, they are so effective at selling this stuff - and relaunching this stuff - after the server crashed - from so many sales - and okay - you can have the bonus, too - (sigh) they suck the money away from anyone else.

So what does this all have to do with the straight line to success path?

I've been beating my brains out trying to bring a reasonable type of Internet marketing training, consulting, and coaching program to the market - at the expense of providing you with the motivation, success, and personal development ideas and tactics that I've written 3 books about - and spent a lifetime speaking, and developing.

So it is me who has drifted off course, and tonight Brandon helped me to remember my calling in life - sharing motivation and success ideas and helping people fulfill their potential.

That is about to change in a big way - I hope you stick with me.
