Do Not Publish Your Book Until You Know Why

When I asked Joel Comm what he thought the biggest factor in his fame and widespread name recognition was - he told me that one was branding himself at the beginning as the Adsense Guy, Dr. AdSense, etc, and the second was publishing a real physical book.

And he is right.

When I began my professional speaking career I worked with Brian Tracy, Tom Hopkins, Denis Waitley, Og Mandino and Les Brown. I sold tickets to see them at big events and got to emcee the programs in Houston Texas.

One of the reasons I did this work was that I felt that if I studied what the big league guys did, then I'd focus on things that would take me to the top faster, than if I focused on small incremental things. That would only take me longer to get where I wanted to go.

I came up with the idea to write a different kind of book, and built my branding around it.

"99% of the people who try to publish a book do it for the book - I did it for the image and leverage the book would bring me…"

See, right from the start I told myself that if I could break even or even not lose too much money on my self-published book, that the speaking money I'd make and the credibility I'd gain would be more than worth it.

And I was right.

Much has changed since I produced my first book 12 years ago. The level of digital publishing (ebooks) makes a physical book stand out even more.

"Having a real book today is even more vital. The difference between your ebook and your REAL book is dramatic."

The next book I publish will be using the methods of Awaken The Author Within.

I've met Glen Dietzel, interviewed him and can tell you first hand that if I had known Glenn before I would have quadrupled my success, income, and reach - just by using the methods in his free course.

I realize that most people pursuing the Internet Lifestyle Business will not be interested in the impact fame and name recognition will give you in the big world. But listen, even J.D. Salinger, the reclusive poster boy for obscurity and author of The Catcher in the Rye, benefitted greatly from a book that went far and wide.

So whether you want to get the big time fame and momentum from your words, you can massively leverage your reach and increase your success in your Internet lifestyle business by taking Glenn's free course.

As the guy in the Men's Warehouse says - "I Guarantee It!"

If you've taken Glenn's course, or begin to take it - will you do me a favor and post your comments about Glenn and the Awaken the Author Within Program by clicking on the TITLE of this post and scroll down to the comments section?

The Story Lady @ 1:09 pm

The wise decision to invest in Entrepreneurial Authoring changed my life for the better.

I am mostly blind, and when I met Glenn I knew I could write books but I knew nothing about marketing. Watch this video to find out what happened since working with him as a client.

You get a step by step plan with Glenn Dietzel's system, plus you get five live calls a week to get your questions answered. Now I'm part of his team.

And you can see my whole series of how to be a profitable author at http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=37DBF33EB9867C8A

Very true Rick,

People see the book as an income generator and very careless about how they position themselves with the book.
